01    Sand / Stone
Sand / Stone examines the unstable boundary between matter, time and inscription. Photographed through repeated returns to Whale and Palm Beach, the work attends to surfaces shaped by erosion, tide, weather and geological duration—places where material carries the trace of forces that have acted upon it.

Stone appears enduring yet is continually becoming otherwise; sand appears transient yet records, however briefly, each encounter. Repetition becomes a refrain: returning to the same terrain reveals not sameness, but continuous difference and becoming.

The photographs inhabit this tension between permanence and disappearance, treating the surface not simply as an object to be seen, but as an event—a temporary configuration of matter, light and time.
