Mike Hale is an Australian photographic artist and theorist based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
His practice is informed by architecture, law and doctoral research in twentieth-century European philosophy,
particularly the work of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari.

His photography investigates relationships between light, matter, duration and place.
Through repetition, sustained observation and return,
his projects explore photography as an embodied and philosophical practice:
a means of registering the changing intensities through which the world becomes visible.
